Country Haven Acres - Residential Services Inc. is a long-term placement solution fo children aged 12-18 years who are intellectually challenged and/or dually-diagnosed and who are difficult to place due to problematic behaviours. Our residents are living with a wide range of diagnoses. Program Highlights *4 Seasons Nature Program: participants are engaged in a multitude of outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, canoeing, camping, skating, snowshoeing, gardening, plant identification, wildlife observation and recognition are examples of daily activities at Country Haven Acres. *The program is client-centered and a team of trained staff, led by the resident's case manager, will work with the individual in the development and implementation of their individual program. *Twenty-four hours a day staff support: Each staff member interacts with all participants in some aspect and teaches life skillls on both a formal and an informal basis. A strong team approach is emphasized. *CHA's Section 23 school is run through the Near North District School board. Residents who have school incorporated as part of their individual program attend. The school has a maximum capacity of 8 students thereby providing a few spaces for non-residents to attend our school. This is not only an ideal educational setting but also provides a rich social opportunity for our residents.
