This new program is an innovative model designed to support young adults with moderate to severe autism in a community based, typical lifestyle townhouse in the warm  and receptive community of Thornhill in Markham, Ontario. There is opportunity for up to three young adults to reside together, each with their own bedroom, and shared living and dining space. The program allows for a seamless continuation of life skill independence training, as well as opportunities to facilitate improved communication, socialization, recreation and leisure opportunities. The resident will attend and increase their job skills in a supported day program until such time that appropriate paid employment could be found. Staff support is available during all awake hours, and there is overnight supervision as well.
