CARF's mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of persons served. Since the first CARF survey in Canada in 1969, over 3700 Canadian service programs have selected CARF as their accreditor of choice in the fields of Behavioural Health; Employment & Community Services; Aging Services; Medical Rehabilitation; and Child & Youth Services (including group homes, foster care, residential treatment). CARF International accredits close to 50,000 programs on five continents.
