Bridgeway Family Homes offers 3 distinct family-based foster care programs to meet the individual needs of the children placed in our care. These 3 programs, Parent Model, Parent Model Plus and Mixed Modality, vary in levels of support and relief including intensive Child/Youth worker and therapeutic interventions attached to the foster home for our most demanding referrals. Many of the children referred to our care come with serious social, emotional and behavioural disturbances; medical and/or developmental difficulties. Due to the needs represented, highly individualized treatment plans are developed and levels of care are implemented accordingly. All foster homes are trained, supported and supervised to offer to all children in their care a safe, structured environment that provides an opportunity to experience normative family life activities wherein adults demonstrate a high level of commitment to attend to children’s needs for belonging and nurturance.
All treatment planning for children in care is done in Team collaboration with the Foster Parent, Agency Children’s Service Worker, Bridgeway Family Homes’ Case Management Worker and adjunct professionals.
