Sandy and Reid have welcomed both girls and boys into their home.  They have experience dealing with many trauma-based behaviors including but not limited to; drugs, alcohol, running, truancy, sexual offending (both female and male), conflict with the law, gender-identity issues, and various mental health issues such, as bi-polar, RAD, PTSD, ADHD, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive and self-injurious behaviors and suicidal ideation.

Both Sandy and Reid have completed numerous trainings and certifications over the years. This has included PMAB, NVCI, ONLAC, SATP, PRIDE, Understanding Family Systems, Behavior Management, Working with Adolescents, Caring for Sexually Abused Children, Effective Fostering, Working with Families, Verbal De-escalation, Self-Injurious Behaviors, Teens and Mental Health, Pillars of Permanency, Signs of Safety, to name a few.  They were also involved in fostering recruitment panels where they were guest speakers with some of their foster children.
