Hilliard is a 6 bed, staff model home for adolescent male youths. There is a level system in place at this program and an independent program when appropriate as decided by the treatment team. Each youth is clinically reviewed on an annual basis by the treatment team: Dr. Anita Halpern, Child's CAS worker and the residential staff team. The individual treatment plan is developed at the clinical meeting and followed by all parties.

The staff provide the youths with opportunities for independent time in the community as a reward for achieving high weekly levels. The program will also teach social and life skills, help the youths write resumes, practice interviewing skills and support applications for part time jobs.  These youth have access to one of the three high school classrooms run by Mon Ami Children's Services in Thomas A. Stewart High School in Peterborough.
